Spring is upon us, and what better way to celebrate the warmer weather than with a splash of color! Ordinarily my summer colors range from all the nudes to whites, but I went out of my element with this marigold blouse whilst in San Diego, California. I figured, if I’m going to the west coast, I might as well dress the part!
This season is all about yellows, golds, and oranges. That could mean a mustard colored suit, or a yellow sundress, and even sunglasses.
I paired this cold shoulder, ruffled, marigold, front-tie blouse (talk about a mouthful) with a pair of distressed jeans and my “hell yeah” flats for a walk around La Jolla. This outfit for me was more about being comfortable and focusing on the details than going full out cute, because at the end of the day, I was still climbing over rocks.
Here is a good mash up of style and comfort for travel when you’re still trying to feed your inner stylist, but also need to be practical!
I love the style of this sweater! It’s got the feel of a grandma sweater, but with a fringe and drape to make it feel a little more fashion forward than a house cardigan! Find something versatile when traveling, because less is more!
Another hint for this outing, when the weather is iffy, always ALWAYS plan to carry a little sweater or pull-over. You may not want to hide your cute outfit, but sometimes when the climate changes..you’ll be happy you over prepared!
The ruffles along the open shoulder of this blouse made it extremely flattering. It is cute and girly, without being over the top out there. The color itself is a statement.
I mean…tell me how cute this is? Small details are sometimes better than outrageous pieces. A casual jean makes this look more effortless.
Back with my shoes, something else to look at on the outfit. We start with “oh beautiful color” to “oh I love those ruffles” , to “omg lol your shoes are too cute!!” There’s many elements in this outfit that are easily duplicated in all outfits!
